_Bend
This series was created from impressions of the Bend in Aachen. In the pictures most of it is faded out, cut off. There is no human being to be seen, the gaze is sublime, no horizon is grounding us. The background is always the same sky blue and often not even this one is present, because the chosen detail shows only a fragment. And yet one recognizes immediately where one is. The parts of illuminated facades and rides are familiar. But one has not yet seen them from close up. The painted pictures make it possible to have a closer look. If one were there now, one would be impressed and distracted by the many sensory impressions.
